Most of our floor-standing propane heaters range from 40,000 to 48,000 BTU, which is well-suited for open patios up to roughly 200 square feet. For covered pergolas or smaller decks, a model in the 40,000 BTU range typically does the job without overheating the space. If you are working with a larger open-air area, stepping up to a 46,000 or 48,000 BTU unit like our pyramid or bronze steel models gives you more coverage and flexibility.
Our patio heaters are built for outdoor use and constructed from weather-resistant materials like brushed bronze steel and powder-coated finishes designed to hold up through changing conditions. That said, using a cover during heavy rain or off-season storage will help protect your investment and extend the life of the finish and ignition components. Most of our models also feature tilt safety mechanisms, which adds an extra layer of reliability whether you leave them out or move them around your space.
Our propane patio heaters are compatible with standard 20 lb propane tanks, which are widely available at hardware stores, home improvement retailers, and many gas stations. Propane tanks are not included with the heater, as regulations around shipping pressurized cylinders prevent us from bundling them. The good news is that standard tanks are easy to source locally, and many of our fire pit table models include hidden tank storage so the setup stays clean and organized.
